That’s a wrap - Mahi Aroha 2023

Although it felt like summer never properly arrived this year, we were still able to deliver another successful Mahi Aroha programme for 2023. Thank you to everyone who was involved, no matter how big or small your mahi, we simply couldn’t have done it without you!

This year we had a total of 393 participants, with approx. half of these being their first Mahi Aroha experience. There were 25 unique trips/events planned and 33 trips/events listed on the calendar this year - a large increase in trips offered from last year!! Unfortunately, 9 events were cancelled, mainly due to poor weather conditions and the minimum number of participants not reached for the trip to proceed.

As part of the booking process, we also offered participants the option to add a donation when booking - we are delighted that this resulted in several donations being made to other community groups who helped support the programme.

Planning for Mahi Aroha 2024 is about to kick off, so keep your eyes peeled later in the year for our calendar release!
